Seva selfless service

Our values

Seva is a Sanskrit word that refers to caring for others above oneself. Our practice is built along this philosophy of serving the community with honest, expert, compassionate care backed by the best scientific evidence.

Seva Orthopedic Physical Therapy challenges the status quo of the conventional model of addressing orthopedic problems- excessive medication, unnecessary imaging, sub-standard care by therapists overseeing multiple patients simultaneously, and lack of quality control resulting in numerous visits to physical therapy or chiropractic.

We believe that the best outcomes in orthopedic care are achieved when care is personalized, and is delivered by therapists that have received advanced training in best practices resulting in quicker relief, and a premium patient experience.

Our vision

To become the first point of contact for musculoskeletal pain in Mercer County and beyond.

Gaurav Kekatpure, PT, MS

Board-Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Diplomaed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy

Gaurav received his undergraduate training in physical therapy in India, and completed the Master’s Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut in 2006. After working extensively in outpatient orthopedic clinics across the US, he realized the vast limitations of the traditional model of musculoskeletal care that lacked reliability and standardization. Ongoing feedback from patients regarding the growing out-of-pocket costs to consult various specialists that either prescribe more drugs, investigations, injections or invasive procedures was overwhelming. Many such patients would experience little or short-term relief, only to re-enter the system later with ongoing chronic pain requiring more attention along similar options of treatment.

Disappointed with conventional means, Gaurav turned towards the McKenzie Method® only to realize that rapid improvements were not a matter of chance but a norm with this approach. After years of extensive post-graduate training and residency in the method, he was awarded the prestigious Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip. MDT) which certifies the highest level of competence in its application. Gaurav belongs to an elite group of such McKenzie clinicians that are also board-certified in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) as recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties of the American Physical Therapy Association. Gaurav lives in Robbinsville with his wife and daughter.
